I painted this canvas from a potted Tiger Lily plant my daughter, Tera, gave me for Mother’s Day.  The Tiger Lily’s markings on its petals remind me of the freckles scattered randomly on my face.  As a child and teenager I was often teased about my red hair and freckles.   The novel markings on the petals add uniqueness to the Tiger Lily.  My freckles and red hair do the same for me.
